Why Join Phi Mu

Maybe you have it all figured out, maybe not. In either case you'll need friends to help you along the way. Girlfriends. Sisters. Friends committed to you through a lifetime of ups and downs. Friends who'll help you grow as a person and as a leader. Friends who'll be there when you realize that you really don't have it all figured out. Friends who'll need you to be there for them, too. You know the type. They are the girlfriends who demonstrate that BFF sort of connection with you. They are there to build you up and to be by your side as you build up others. They have a special sort of energy about them. They are vibrant. And they're looking forward to friending you at Phi Mu.

Four Reasons YOU should be a Phi Mu:

  • To Make Friends

Why I Joined

Phi Mu Kappa Sigma

"I joined Phi Mu because I wanted to become a part of something special while in college! Phi Mu has given me that and so much more. Going through recruitment I wanted to find a group of genuine women that would surround me in my college years. I felt a sense of home in every interaction during recruitment even going through on zoom! Phi Mu truly is truly so special and I am so blessed to be a part of this amazing chapter!" -Morgan Huckaby PC '20

"I joined Phi Mu because I could tell I was going to gain genuine, real friendships. I have grown up knowing about sororities and could not wait until it was finally my turn. Since then, my experience in Phi Mu has been nothing but rewarding. This organization will truly give back to you what you put into it. I am so thankful for sisters who support me, love me, and truly care for me!" -Mary Elizabeth PC '21

"Coming into college, I had felt lost. I was starting a new life that many of my friends from my hometown hadn’t. Before school started my freshman year, I had been reached out to by several women of Phi Mu! Receiving their sweet messages and words of encouragement instantly left a mark on me. I knew this is where I wanted to be Choosing Phi Mu was truly the best decision I have ever made in my entire life. These girls are my absolute favorite people in the world. I wouldn’t trade this sisterhood for anything! LIOB" -Haley Usry PC '21

“I made the decision to accept the privilege of joining Phi Mu because of the foundation the organization represents. Every day that I am in Phi Mu I have the opportunity to meet amazing women who uplift each other in their accomplishments, interest, ideals, hardships, and so much more. I always have a familiar face that I know I can sit with in a class or talk to at an invite without any doubt of if I would feel comfortable or accepted. The women of Phi Mu push me to become a better woman, accomplish my toughest goals, pursue new opportunities, and to never lose sight of who I am. I have made the best memories throughout my experience in Phi Mu from charity events such as dance marathon, to karaoke nights, to coffee and cupcake sisterhood dates I know I always have something fun to look forward to each day and something amazing to look back on. Walking into recruitment I prayed to find an organization that would help me become the best version of myself, introduce me to my best friends, and help me make the best memories to look back on in my college experience. Phi Mu has brought me each thing I looked for during recruitment and so so much more. I truly do not know where I would be without my sisters in Phi Mu”

"When coming into recruitment, I was doubtful and scared that I wouldn’t find my home… As soon as I stepped into Phi Mu’s room it felt like a breath of fresh air. These girls truly represent what it means to be a Phi Mu. I joined this sweet sisterhood because I knew there would be girls that pushed me to be a better woman and leader for those around me. I’m so thankful that I took the opportunity to go through recruitment because I wouldn’t be where I am today, in Phi Mu!! I can’t wait to see where my college years take me as a Phi Mu!!" -Kaylee Spurlin PC '22
