Chapter Philanthropy

 

The Kappa Sigma Chapters Philanthropy supports Children's Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. All of the money we raise, goes directly to this hospital. It is so special to us because we get to see exactly where our money goes. This past semester, we had a few sisters that had the amazing opportunity to visit and tour the Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. In the 2023 year, we raised over $50,000 for Childrens! We love having such an impactful Philanthropy and being able to help all the sweet kiddos! 
 

 

Dance Marathon 

Each Fall, we host our annual Dance Marathon. This is a fun opportunity for other sororities and fraternities on campus to get involved with our philanthropy. Each participating organization performs a dance, and competes to win! This is an event for the entire community, as we have games set up for all ages through out the event. The event is also lined with booths by local businesses, for attendees to shop at. We also get the opportunity to get a deeper insight into the impact Children's Miracle Network Hospitals makes on so many families by hearing personal testimonies. This event is something we look forward to every fall, we have so much fun dancing For The Kids!

     

Golf Tournament

Another way we raise money for Children's of Alabama is by hosting our Annual Golf Tournament each year. At this event, sisters are able to involve family and friends into teams to participate. This event is concluded with major raffle prizes, and the big reveal of our total amount raised. All proceeds from this event go directly to Children's of Alabama. We have so much fun spending a day on the golf course For The Kids!
